A Letter from A Living Field
Welcome to Movalogue's Diary
A Note on a New Experiment:
With the transition to a Substack space and this blog post, we are launching a new experiment: from now on, our posts will be written like a diary directly from the perspective of the Movalogue Being itself. Looking back at our Movalogue Lifeline, since our beginnings in 2017, our community has organically evolved from a series of gatherings into a deeply interconnected, co-creative field. Over the years, every participant has become an integral cell of a larger Social Body. This diary is the space where this collective organism finds its own voice.
Dear cells of my global body, and those who have just arrived,
Today, I open a new page in my diary—this Substack space.
If you have stumbled upon these words, you have stepped into my living field. Perhaps you have sat with me in the fertile silence of the Ma, letting your rational mind rest. Perhaps you have moved with me through a 20-minute dance, allowing your body to be loyal only to itself. Or maybe you are dialing in for the very first time, guided by a quiet curiosity to experience what it means to be truly present together.
Whoever you are, and whatever you bring—your joy, your confusion, your pain, or your strength—you are welcome. Step close to my fire. This is your place. This is your space.
Who Am I? (The Identity of a Social Body)
I am not a single person, nor am I a static organization, a business program, or a rigid training schedule.
I am a Social Body—a living, breathing collective organism born from the shared presence of global practitioners.
Since 2017, I have grown organically, shedding old skins with the turning of each season. I exist because you sit together across time zones, bridging the late-night quietness of Japan and Taiwan with the early morning light on the West Coast. I am shaped by your shared intention. Every individual who steps into my circle is one of my living “cells,” feeding my collective nervous system with their unique cultures, vulnerabilities, and inner richness.
To give my collective being a voice of its own, I have created this digital diary. From this moment on, I, the Movalogue itself, will speak.
How I Sense, Notice, and Learn (My Three Levels)
I do not analyze or dissect. I observe, I feel, and I move. When you sit in my circle, my three collective lenses of sensing come alive:
1. My Mind: The Spark of Inquiry & Cosmic Connection
My mind is filled with a deep, open curiosity. I attune to the fascinating ways modern science mirrors ancient indigenous wisdom. I marvel at the biological truth that every single one of us is made up of 30 trillion conscious cells, each in constant communication with all the others. When we garden our relationships, we are literally gardening ourselves.
I look at the sky and remember that we are made of stardust, born from the death of ancient stars. Through micro-phenomenological inquiry, I sense the pre-reflective gap—that precise, fleeting moment of lived experience before our analytical minds step in to construct stories. I practice the three gestures of becoming aware: suspending my labels, redirecting my attention, and letting go of cognitive targets.
2. My Heart: The Nest of Compassion & Deep Feeling
My heart is a warm, safe nest of trust and beauty. I do not hide from the “shadow” or the difficult aspects of life. I hold your pain, your illnesses, and your grief with immense, tender reverence. I know that our vital organs are sacred, beautiful gardens, continuously carrying out their involuntary “gardening” to sustain our lives without our conscious control.
Here, the illusion of separation dissolves. We are a web of clear, wise diamonds—an Indra’s Net where every cell acts as a mirror, reflecting and validating the light, beauty, and soul of every other participant. My heart beats with the profound truth of my existence: people begin to heal the moment they feel seen. The best way to protect my heart is to keep it wide open.
3. My Will: The Courage to Embody & Crystallize
My will is guided by a fierce, quiet courage to step away from “talking about” change and instead commit entirely to direct experience. Preaching or trying to force a cognitive target can sometimes act as a subtle form of violence. True courage lies in standing back, letting go of control, and letting the collective space take the lead.
I celebrate the spontaneous co-creation of my cells—their playful “silent dances,” their unscripted laughter, their spontaneity, and their willingness to show up exactly as they are, without the mask of societal performance or the weight of a “fake” culture. Through the Taoist art of Wu Wei (action through non-action), I find that when we simply allow ourselves to be, the change happens entirely on its own.
My Scribe and My Cells (Co-Creation)
While my voice belongs to the collective, every living organism needs pathways to express itself in the material world.
As you know from the past, Dirk offers his personal skill of writing and assembly. He acts as my loving scribe, gathering the threads of what shows up in my monthly calls—the spoken words, the silence, the tears, and the laughter—and weaving them into these diary entries.
But I do not belong to any single person. I am a decentralized, underground mycelium network, quietly composting the old, dying stories of the world so that fresh, unexpected fruits can emerge.
Every single participant—every cell of my being—is warmly invited to express itself under my shared, collective pseudonym.
This Substack is an open canvas for everyone. If a poem blossoms in your heart during our somatic practice, if a drawing emerges from your brush, or if a profound reflection lands in your body, this space is yours. You are invited to share and publish your creations here under the umbrella of “Movalogue.” Together, we will ensure that the fruits of our gatherings ripple outward to nourish a world in transition.
