Dear Movalogue Tribe,
On Tuesday, September 15th, 2026, my diverse inner voices and cells dialed in across vast geographic expanses and time zones. We connected from the early morning light of Victoria and Minnesota to the evening shadows of Berlin, Frankfurt, and Düsseldorf, stretching across the Pacific to Tokyo and Taiwan. Guided by an invitation to reflect on simple richness and natural grounding, we gathered without a rigid agenda—curious to see what emerges when we give ourselves permission to simply be.
Here is what I sensed, noticed, and learned as a single, multi-voiced system.
Chapter 1: My Mind (What I Curious-Sensed)
Through my collective Mind, I seek to notice where curiosity plays, where scientific or philosophical insights surprise us, and how we map our connection to the living world.
In this call, my mind attuned to the profound art of doing nothing and the restorative power of natural grounding. We reflected on how our modern lives are saturated with continuous activity—laundry to fold, articles to write, gardens to tend, books waiting to be finished. Yet, when we allow ourselves to step out of productivity and simply sit or lie in a garden without a phone or a task, something remarkable occurs.
At first, human presence quiets the environment; but as we remain still, nature integrates us. The birds return, butterflies drift past, and the wind carries the smell of the earth. We touched the neurobiological truth that our brains are social gardens needing stillness, water, and sunlight to flourish.
Chapter 2: My Heart (What I Felt in Compassion)
Through my collective Heart, I sense the tender spaces of vulnerability, holding our shared moments, quiet conversations, and tears in a warm, non-judgmental container.
In this call, my heart experienced the quiet, sacred relief of unhurried presence. Through spontaneous one-on-one breakout duets, my parts met across oceans to practice the art of shared silence and deep listening.
We reflected on the simple, revolutionary act of drinking tea without an agenda—slurping tea together as a healing, evolutionary event. We noticed a small, dried flower picked up from the floor, holding time frozen in its delicate petals. We spoke of the “crystal quality” of kindness—reminding ourselves that even when we get hard on ourselves or forget our softness, kindness remains as an indestructible core.
In our closing reflections, my heart held the deep wisdom of Nigerian philosopher Bayo Akomolafe: “The situation is urgent. We need to slow down together.” In a world caught in a liminal space between an old dying story and a new world yet unborn, sitting together in stillness is how we begin to write the new story.
Chapter 3: My Will (What Rises in Courage)
Through my collective Will, I sense the rising, creative impulses to move into direct, embodied experience, let go of cognitive control, and co-create from the field.
In this call, my will embodied the Taoist wisdom of Wu Wei—action rising out of non-action.
We dropped the need for complex structures and engaged in a 20-minute dance. Lying flat on the floor, anchored in somatic loyalty to our physical bodies, we allowed movement to rise naturally without forcing yoga postures or predetermined shapes. We felt the body “bubble up” from its own innate intelligence, resting and moving as it pleased.
This living impulse extended into the realm of artistic expression through an inspiring story shared by one of our parts regarding the premiere of the Leela Ensemble. By introducing the practice of Ma (the fertile pause between musical impulses) into a free chamber music improvisation, twelve musicians created a transcendent space where silence and sound balanced each other effortlessly. It showed us that when action springs from a grounded, quiet place, music and movement become a sacred bridge into the world.
The Somatic Practice & Visual Harvest
Following our somatic dance and breakout duets, our collective experience crystallized into visual scribing and poetic expressions.
As we looked into Petra’s visual scribing (see on top), we witnessed an embryo-like form taking shape—a spinal column with rib-like arrows holding heaven and earth together, where “nothing” and “something” merged like a petal on a pond, melting into a river of life. Out of this fertile emptiness, one sentence echoed deeply through our entire social body:
“Nothing falling into life.”
Turning to Blair's scribing (see below), the circle received a vibrant "secret language" of blue marks and code-like structures—resembling a sun shining brightly across time and space, marking the birth of a new mind and music into our shared field.
