Participation Fee & Accommodation 2019
Preliminary remark:
The Movalogue is intended to be a co-creative, participatory event with an strong approach of being inclusive. Taking into account a different availability of financial resources, we tried to keep the participation fee as low as possible.

Registration Fee 50 €
To save your place and support the set up and preparation of the event we ask for registration fee, which should be transferred by 15 August 2019.
​
Basic Participation Fee 300 €
The basic participation fee covers full participation in the program + food and beverages (breakfast, lunch, dinner).
​
Payment should be done in cash (Euro) during the event.
Please pay attention to the fact that credit cards will not be accepted.
​
If you are financially challenged please reach out. Once budget is covered we might be able to offer some sponsored seats.
​
Please also note that the hosting of the Movalogue is based on a collective of dedicated individuals and is not a formal organisation (yet).

Accommodation at Quinta Ten Chi (optional)
The Movalogue will take place on the ground of Quinta Ten Chi in Sintra near Lisbon, Portugal. It will be possible to camp directly at Quinta Ten Chi. To do that you need to bring your own tent. Cost will be 7 € (per person/ night). There are 6 washrooms/showers available. The occupancy process will be handled directly by a team of Quinta Ten Chi. 1) Places we know that are super nice, in walking distance and we have already made an agreement with the owners, so you should contact them directly and not via the booking site:

Again amazing views and old charm farmhouse restored and run by two sisters. 4 rooms with double beds and private bathrooms- but the price we discussed is 50-60€ per room (price depends on the room), so it gets cheaper if you share. You can book directly with them at mariajmagalhaes09@gmail.com. Mention Ten Chi in the email, they are keeping the rooms for our group.

Beautiful new house middle-eastern inspired. A lovely couple, Jorge and Teresa opened their house to guests. 4 rooms available, 3 with double bed and 1 with two double beds. Two of the rooms share a bathroom, the others have their own. Price is 50€ per room, plus 20€ cleaning fee at the end. If there are more than 2 people in a room, each additional person is 20€.

How to get there
​by TAXI
Sintra-Temple
From the Sintra train station, ask the taxi driver to bring you toward the Buddhist Kadampa Deuachen Temple in Várzea de Sintra. If possible, choose the path to the old Sintra Town Hall building, towards the Ribeira, because the route is more beautiful. Approximate price of 7 to 8 euros.

Lisbon – Várzea de Sintra
Head to either Rossio, Entrecampos, Oriente or Sete Rios train stations in Lisbon.
Travel by train to Sintra and get off at Portela de Sintra station.

The exit of the station has three Scotturb buses (439, 440, 442) that circulate daily between Portela and Várzea de Sintra.

Leave the bus at the stop Várzea Chemas 12, walk up the Magoito road and after passing a primary school, you will find on the right Rua do Moinho do Gato, where Ten Chi is located.

Lisbon – Várzea de Sintra
Follow the IC19 towards Sintra and get out on the 14th exit to the A16 (direction Mafra).
On the A16, take exit 9 to Lourel / Praias and follow signs for Lourel / Praias until you see an indication for Várzea de Sintra.
Follow the signs for Várzea de Sintra. At the center of Várzea de Sintra, follow the signs for Magoito on the right.
About 500 meters later, follow the sign for Kadampa Deuachen Temple and turn right, you’ll find Ten-Chi in front of you in the end of the road.
Cascais-Várzea de Sintra
Follow the A16 motorway and take exit 9 to Lourel / Beaches and always follow signs for Lourel / Beaches until you see an indication for the Várzea de Sintra.
Follow the signs for Várzea de Sintra.
At the center of the Várzea de Sintra, follow the signs for Magoito on the right.
About 500 meters later, follow the sign for Kadampa Deuachen Temple to turn right, and you’ll find Ten-Chi in front of you in the end of the road.
North-Várzea de Sintra
Take the A9 motorway (CREL) to the A16. On the A16, take exit 9 to Lourel / Praias and follow signs for Lourel / Beaches until you see an indication for Várzea de Sintra.
Follow the signs for Várzea de Sintra.
At the center of the Várzea de Sintra, follow the signs for Magoito on the right.
About 500 meters later, follow the sign for Kadampa Deuachen Temple to turn right, and you’ll find Ten-Chi in front of you in the end of the road.
